Brigthon has been ranked by The Huffington Post as one of the top ten cities in the world for running.
The City hosts a Festival weekend full of events on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th April, supported by a series of seminars and exhibitions all relating to the running industry. The finish line for the events will feature the popular Beach Village with large screen coverage of all the activity.
Working with Cancer Research UK Kids and Teens Mini Mile Races the Saturday event is for youth runners, whilst the Sunday event will feature the BM10k and Brighton Marathon.
Brighton anticipates 16,000 participants will take part over the weekend Festival, and they will be supported by an army of volunteers made up from local people and running enthusiasts.
Tom Naylor, Race Director said: "The Brighton Marathon Weekend simply would not take place without our amazing volunteers; they really are the backbone of the event. We look forward to welcoming back some of our regular volunteers and to introducing new volunteers to the team.”
