Deutsche Bank – Sporteducate

0 0
Sporteducate is a pioneering programme designed by Sported in partnership with Deutsche Bank. The programme provides 11-18 year olds who are at risk of becoming NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training), with extra-curricular support to enable them to stay in school and go on to further education, training and employment.

33 Sported members clubs across London are also benefitting from funding and training to deliver education and employability activities alongside their core sports offering. Additionally, the programme provides the clubs with management support from employee volunteers at Deutsche Bank. This additional support is crucial for clubs, many of whom lack expertise in important operational areas such as business planning, marketing or accounting. With these skills in abundance within Deutsche Bank, the transfer of them from the corporate sector to the community sector brings tangible benefits to both the bank and the clubs.

Sharing skills in this way allows employees to develop a number of skills such as communication and problem solving, while at the same time providing the manpower to clubs to achieve otherwise unrealisable tasks. One Sporteducate club in receipt of volunteer support said: "We have literally saved thousands by not having to pay for accountants, marketing and HR professionals. We’ve also been able to complete work that’s been in the pipeline for years. This partnership has been invaluable for us”
