Get Behind the England Cricketers! #LoveEngland
On February the 5th The England Cricket Board (ECB) launched their campaign to generate more interest in the ICC Cricket World Cup in 2015. The #LoveEngland campaign encourages fans to post their own inspirational team talks, videos, pictures and messages on social media using #LoveEngland.
The England cricket head coach Peter Moores and the players are currently in Sydney to start training after they completed their warm-up Tri Series tournament. England will play two more matches in preparation for this year’s tournament.
With the launch of #LoveEngland, the ECB hope to see an increase in the number of adults (age 16 and above) playing cricket regularly. To achieve this increase the ECB are encouraging clubs to host social leagues and competitions. Ability is irrelevant, the ECB want to see people getting active and having fun with cricket.
