afPE 2017 National PE & School Sport Conference 4th & 5th July!

"Strive to Thrive: Moving PE forward in times of challenge and change”.

The afPE 2017 National Conference will be held at St George’s Park in Burton Upon Trent on the 4th & 5th July.

The Association for Physical Education (afPE) national conference is critical for all physical education and school sport professionals working in the sector.

afPE recognises that they must work together with valued partners to ensure that all staff, governors, parents and pupils understand the differences between PE, school sport and physical activity and that they are not in competition but together create a whole picture of physical and emotional well being.
Join the conference to find solutions that will have a positive impact on physical and emotional well-being outcomes for all young people.

You will be able to access cutting edge developments, innovative thinking, high quality resources and engage in professional discussion, sharing and networking.

With a choice of 23 interactive workshops and a range of inspirational and insightful keynote speakers, there is something for everyone.

Confirmed speakers include:

Steve Parry – Olympic Medallist & BBC Sports Presenter
Prof Guy Claxton – Author & Educational Reformer
Beth Tweddle MBE – Britain’s Greatest Ever Female Gymnast
